At Edenwater House we offer comfortable bedrooms, brilliant breakfasts, gourmet food, fine wines and friendly personal service.  A delightful rural retreat lovingly created in an old stone-built manse in the historic hamlet of Ednam, Kelso.   Perfectly situated to explore the surrounding area.

The bedrooms are spacious, designed and furnished to allow you to relax in peace and comfort. All are en suite, with flat screen TV’s, complimentary wireless internet and coffee/tea making facilities. Each is a sanctuary designed with your comfort in mind. As an alternative, for those who prefer to self cater, we also offer a delightful ground floor apartment.

Edenwater House is a very special place to stay; sumptuously comfortable, private and relaxing, where you can unwind in blissful tranquillity.

On Fridays or Saturdays you may choose to enjoy our renowned food and fine wines in the candle-lit dining room. The premises are fully licensed with an interesting wine list, craft beers & spirits. Widely recommended by leading independent food and travel guides including: The Good Food Guide, Michelin, Du Mont and Marco Polo.  Open for dinner to residents and non-residents alike.

Bistro nights in The Wine Cellar offer residents and non-residents an opportunity to try new and unusual wines or local craft beers with supper. Thursday nights, 7.30pm, lights out at 10.30pm.

Attention to detail and service is the byword here. Throughout the house, garden and courtyards you are surrounded and cosseted by an eclectic collection of pictures, books, antiques, objet d’art and comfortable furniture. Relax in one of the many secluded seating areas throughout the garden, or choose sit on the deck by the Eden Water and watch the wildlife, enjoy a glass of wine or ale.

“A bin of wine, A spice of wit. A house with lawns enclosing it. A living river by the door, who could wish or ask for more.”
